Pastor directs religious services and all daily operations of an organization. Provides spiritual leadership, guidance, and assistance to members. Being a Pastor supervises church staff and associated administrative businesses to ensure operational needs are met. Designs and oversees outreach and educational programs and events to support the community. Additionally, Pastor coordinates volunteers to ensure community outreach goals are fulfilled. Performs religious services, leads prayer, and conducts worship. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a regional or chapter manager. The Pastor typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. The Associate Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance and leadership to the congregation, staff, and leadership of the church. He or she will work closely with the Senior Pastor in all aspects of church life, including preaching, teaching, worship, administration, and outreach developing ministries that are in line with church's mission and values. The Associate Pastor will also provide counseling and support to church members as needed.
This individual must be a compassionate and caring individual with a deep love for God and His people. He or she must have the ability to connect with people from all walks of life and be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.
Duties amp;amp; Responsibilities
Be part of pastoral team to preach sermons that are Biblically sound, Christ centered, and relevant to the lives of those in the congregation.
Teach bible study and leadership classes.
Provide pastoral care and counseling to church members.
Oversight of ministry teams depending on skills and gifts.
Understanding church finances and budget.
Serve as a liaison between the church and the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in theology or related field.
5 years of experience as a pastor or associate pastor or in a related field.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
Start part time minimum 10 hours per week. Have the desire and flexibility to increase hours over a period of time.
Hourly Salary based on experience.
