Position Overview:
Thus firm is currently seeking an entry level associate as well as an associate with 3 years of experience in patent and intellectual property litigation. The ideal candidates should have a technical background, preferably in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. As part of this legal team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and interesting cases in all aspects of litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with a trial team on patent and intellectual property litigation matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses
• Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, exhibits, and witnesses
• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, experts, and other professionals involved in the case
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely filing of documents
• Stay updated with changes in laws related to patents and other intellectual property rights
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Delaware state bar (or ability to waive into the state bar)
• Technical background preferably in electrical engineering or computer science
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated individual who can work well independently as well as part of a team
Experience in patent or other intellectual property litigation is preferred but not required for the entry level position.
