Patient Transporter transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications. Being a Patient Transporter may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Patient Transporter typically reports to a supervisor. The Patient Transporter may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Education

    Must be at least 17 years old.

    Licensure/Certification

    Must obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

    Experience

    Customer Service experience preferred.

    Other Qualifications

    Interest in the healthcare field. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to walk extensively. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds. Must complete a physical abilities test.
