Payment Recovery Specialist is responsible for analysis of denied reimbursement claims. Ensures appropriate insurance coverage for compliance standards and revenue generation. Being a Payment Recovery Specialist monitors, evaluates, and reviews all cost reporting in support of claims. Coordinates with departments and insurance companies to correct errors as necessary. Additionally, Payment Recovery Specialist requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Payment Recovery Specialist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs of clients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Offer mental health counseling and crisis intervention services
- Assist with crisis management and provide support during difficult situations
- Provide addiction counseling and support for individuals struggling with substance abuse
- Mentor clients and provide guidance in areas such as social skills and life skills
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and behavioral health specialists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling)
- Experience working in a support or counseling role preferred
- Knowledge of systems and resources available for individuals in need
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Empathy and compassion for individuals facing challenges
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
