Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Sapphire Nursing at Meadow Hill, a 190 bed skilled nursing facility located in Orange County, New York is looking for a reliable and qualified Administrator to manage our clinical and administrative procedures. To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminologies. As the Nursing Home Administrator, you will be responsible for creating employee work schedules, monitoring budgets, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    ·        Ensure the quality and appropriateness of resident/patient care meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.

    ·        Prepare annual budget for facility. Monitor monthly performance of facility in relation to budget and intervenes as needed.

    ·        Recruit, hire, provide orientation/training, and retain a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out facility programs and services. Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.

    ·        Make sure facility is a safe, clean, comfortable, and appealing environment for residents, patients, visitors and staff in accordance with company guidelines.

    ·        Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

    ·        Manage all aspects of state or federal government survey processes.

    ·        Market the facility.

    ·        Find vendors for medical supplies.

    ·        Ensure Regulatory Compliance by monitoring for compliance and make changes to policies and procedures when necessary.

    ·        Develop and inform employees of new policies and other changes.

    ·        Develop work schedules for all employees.

    ·        Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to identify their issues and needs.

    ·        Coordinate Nursing Care by working alongside residents’ families and healthcare workers. Plan how to care for residents’ needs and coordinate with nursing staff to provide treatment. Regularly monitor residents to ensure compliance and make any necessary changes to improve care.

    ·        Knowledgeable with DOH and CMS regulations;

    ·        Leading staff and ensure they follow policies to offer safe care. Help team members resolve conflicts and assist with professional development.

    ·        Respond to questions from doctors, nurses, and patients in a timely manner.

    ·        Ensure patient medical records are kept up to date.

    ·        Keep records of all expenses and operations and recommend techniques to reduce costs.

    ·        Improve Operations by finding ways to improve care for residents, save money, and operate more efficiently by meeting with staff and coordinating with outside organizations such as insurance companies and care administrators.

    Requirements:

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field.

    ·        NYS Nursing Home Administrators license.

    ·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a nursing home administration position.

    ·        In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminology;

    ·        Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    ·        Problem-solver with good time-management abilities.

    ·        Proven experience with administrative and accounting processes is a bonus.
