Job Summary

This position is responsible for duties such as cashiering, stocking, and cleaning. Tobacco Clerks provide excellent customer service and assists in maintaining excellent daily store conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards including, but not limited to, accurate handling / counting of cash, debit cards, credit cards, coupons and checks
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies
• Keep Tobacco looking neat and presentable, including but not limited to, stocking snacks and drinks, sweeping, cleaning counters, changing trash.

May include cleaning outside as needed.

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Check the identification of all customers attempting to purchase tobacco products. Customers must be 21 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
• Ability to count money and make accurate change.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and arrive to work on time.
• Ability to clean and straighten product when no customers need assisting.
• Flexibility in schedules We are a seven day a week operation with weekend and evening hours
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, frequently bend, lift, squat, lean, and reach.
• Must successfully complete a background check. A drug test is required for Berea #2, Campbellsville, Lebanon, KY, Circleville, and Southland.
