Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, financial concepts, and possess excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and deductions
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and commissions
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Collaborate with HRIS team to maintain employee records and update employee information as needed
- Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and other employment changes in the payroll system
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with finance department for accurate recording of payroll expenses in the general ledger
- Assist with year-end reporting and tax filings related to payroll
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing or related role
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems such as Paycor, Ceridian, ADP, Paychex, or Workday
- Proficient in financial concepts such as debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Solid understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
