Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Job Description: We are seeking a nurse who loves working with children (birth to 21 years old) and those with medical needs. This job provides a unique work environment and nursing employment opportunity, as we provide medical care to children who are unable to attend traditional daycare due to their medical needs. Our nursing staff work alongside a CNA/DCW to provide total care for 6 children during the day, or with a second nurse and a CNA/DCW if taking care of 7-9 children. This is not an acute care setting, as all patients must be in stable condition to attend.
The nursing staff's responsibilities include: completing daily head-to-toe assessments, charting intake and output, charting activities every two hours throughout the day, administering tube feedings, administering medications, monitoring for changes in patients' baseline status (and reporting such changes to the DON/Admin), reviewing/assisting CNA/DCW in obtaining vital signs twice daily and PRN, assisting CNA/DCW in diaper changes.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
