Pediatric Psychiatrist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, determines the appropriate course of treatment, and discusses these treatment plans with the child or adolescent and the responsible adults. Being a Pediatric Psychiatrist prescribes medication when necessary. May need to act as an advocate for the best interests of the patient. Additionally, Pediatric Psychiatrist requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. 2023 graduating residents and visa applicants will be considered. We are seeking candidates who are board certified or board eligible in psychiatry. We would love to explore this opportunity with you!
Responsibilities :
The current schedule consists of 5 days per week working 8-hours of in-house coverage, plus daily admissions. You will be responsible for the collaboration with advanced practice clinicians, medical management and PHP assessments, attending team treatment meetings, and covering intakes during the day.
5 days onsite and 5 days tele Mon - Fri 8a - 5p is an option.
