Technical Product Manager

We are Vant4ge. Our staff is passionate about using technology to help and give hope to people who may have become involved in local, state, or federal justice systems. We provide an online community of care that connects, coordinates and tracks all those who are involved in the correctional/rehabilitative life cycle, including those with the most stake (the justice involved youth or adult, him/herself). Our technology seeks to empower all involved to assess, assign and encourage completion of treatment plans that will improve success in the community. We enjoy knowing our software at the end of the day is being used to help people.
We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.
This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits. This is a hybrid position that requires you to be located in the Boise ID area. Offices are open Monday through Friday, however required in office days are Tuesdays/Thursdays (but could require additional.) Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and a professional reference check.
Executes test cases under varying circumstances including but not limited to regression, implementation, and release checklists
Documents and evaluates test results
Detects, logs, and reports platform bugs and glitches
Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot potential issues
Test sprint priority tickets in order of priority sorted by the Product Owner
Identifies test cases that are outdated or in need of improvement to the QA Analysts
Works closely with QA Analyst to assist when needed in test case authoring
Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
Complete corporate training on a timely basis.
Assist with the creation of and follow critical Standard Operating Procedures and Workflows
Participate in cross training staff as requested
Other duties as assigned
Candidates with prior QA experience preferred
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Experience with running test plans, acceptance criteria, and writing test cases
Experience with functional, regression, integration, performance, and acceptance testing
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
Experience with black-box testing
Passion for technology and developing and growing software QA skills and knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to understand and articulate complex projects
Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills
Demonstration of technical problem-solving abilities
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction from high level requirements and managers
Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies and environments
Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
