Position : Software QA Tester

Location : Remote, occasional onsite in Orlando, FL (MUST BE LOCAL TO FLORIDA)

Rate Range : $40 per hour

Position Overview :

The IT QA Analyst works as a member of the QA Team and works within several agile / iterative software development groups.

This person will work on and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the applications and integrations in test for their assigned projects.

As part of the QA Team, this person will work directly with the QA Manager, Senior Test Analyst, Business Analysts and Lead Developers for those projects.

The objective is to create high coverage and reusable test cases in addition to executing those test cases prior to release.

They will collaborate with the rest of the QA team, providing help with whichever projects are needed.

Requirements :

• 2 years of manual testing experience
• Experience writing and executing test cases
• Jira or similar tool
• Soft skills taking initiative, can multitask, resourceful, ability to break / fix

Preferred Experience :

• Linux understanding of command lines
• API testing with Postman

Day to Day Responsibilities / typical day look like :

• Review business / software requirements and provide input as needed
• Build a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) for projects when necessary
• Prepare high coverage test cases and test data as needed
• Execute manual test cases and ad-hoc exploratory testing
• Report defects and assist in their understanding
• Identify overall Quality issues that could affect the applications under test
• Create end of sprint presentations or demos
