Day (United States of America) The Nurse Specialist acts as a clinical leader with the primary goal of continuous improvement of patient outcomes and safe nursing practice. Partners with the Director in leading the clinical and professional development of nursing practice at Mount Auburn Hospital. Maintains current professional knowledge/competencies and contributes to the advancement of nursing practice at the unit, system, local, and/or national level. Training, evaluation and competencies for this role are overseen by a Nurse Leader to the department.Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Department Specific Job Responsibilities: The Nurse Specialist in the Center for Clinical and Professional Development will participate in activities related to assessing and participating in the professional development and performance improvement programs at Mount Auburn Hospital. This portfolio may include clinical technology and equipment, including but not limited to patient monitoring, alarm management, risk assessments, education planning, integration projects and other innovative technologies used to support patient care and clinical workflows.
