PET Technologist is responsible for operating Positron Emission Tomography equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products to obtain information for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses. Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A. Being a PET Technologist r. T.) or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N. Additionally, PET Technologist m. T.C.B.). May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty.
