Petroleum Geologist jobs in Fremont, CA
Petroleum Geologist studies and examines variations in rock formations and mineral samples to identify new gas and oil deposits. Analyzes the integrity of wells to determine feasibility of drilling. Scientist or similarly qualified person in our Fremont, California office.Job Responsibilities
- Execute/assist with various field work tasks, including: monitoring well installation and sampling; Geoprobe drilling; tank removals; soil and groundwater remediation; soil vapor surveys; indoor air surveys, etc.
- Write comprehensive environmental reports and proposals for a variety of projects.
- Interact with clients and agencies.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
- Ability to organize and complete field activities, written reports and other project tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent report writing and research skills; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Communicate effectively with peers, clients and agencies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be located within the Bay Area, California.
Preferred
- At least 1 to 2 years of field experience (California experience is preferred).
- Project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting and running projects independently.
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator.
