Ramos/Strong Transport is looking for an experienced Retail Fuel Driver with a Class A and hazmat endorsements.

Based in Mojave, Ca., Ramos/Strong Inc. has been in business since April of 1989.

Openings available at both our Mojave and Sylmar yard.

Our stations we deliver to are in rural areas such as Lone Pine, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, Big Bear, Tehachapi, San Luis Obispo are just some of the areas.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Tanker Endorsement
• Hazardous Materials ( HAZMAT ) Endorsement
• Ability to operate semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Must be available nights and weekends.
• A recent graduate of a truck driving school or verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job ( with or without reasonable accommodations)
• Must meet all DOT qualifications
• Pass a DOT physical, including DOT drug screen.
• Acceptable references from past employers.
• Be able to communicate effectively with customers and Dispatch, while representing the company in a professional manner.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Never had a DUI in a commercial vehicle. Applicants with DUI/DWI in personal vehicle more that 10 years will be considered.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
• Maintain signed invoices and other required paperwork, delivers documentation to appropriate staff when delivery route is completed.
• Facilitate routine service on trucks, such as checking oil, coolant, and air.
• Report maintenance malfunctions to Fleet Manager.
• Loading and off-loading petroleum products.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
