Pharmacist - Home Care compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and pharmaceutical supplies per physician's instructions for patients in a home care setting. Provides consultation and answers inquires from patients, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding drugs and their use. Being a Pharmacist - Home Care maintains all required documentation and data on prescriptions, inventory, and patients. Adheres to JCAHO standards for Home Care and complies with all regulatory guidelines and procedures. Additionally, Pharmacist - Home Care requires a doctorate degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Requires Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Pharmacist - Home Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The recruiter is responsible for maintaining an ongoing recruiting effort to ensure that there are adequate numbers of caregivers for continued growth within the agency. This includes placing ads, networking with organizations within the community that are in contact with individuals that would be good candidates and creating/maintaining relationships with certified nursing assistant (CNA) schools or other schools in order to find the best candidates for the agency. This person will also conduct weekly orientations and maintain all caregiver records.
