Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the incumbent provides quality pharmaceutical care to all patients according to Pharmacy procedures. PharmD or degree in Pharmacy from an AACP accredited college or university; knowledge of federal regulations governing counseling of prescriptions under OBRA-90; knowledge of Federal Controlled Substance Act; thorough knowledge of all aspects of drug therapy; and knowledge of pricing structures relating to pharmacy practice. One year of experience in retail pharmacy within the last five years. Current Outcomes MTM experience preferred. Naloxone prescriber certification training preferred. CPR/AED certification or willing to obtain within six months. Blood Borne Pathogen training. Immunization certification. Asthma Educator Certification or willing to obtain with one year. Management experience desired. The following credentials are required: Registered Pharmacist with unrestricted state license. Basic computer data entry skills are required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Proof of their own Professional Liability Insurance. Registered Pharmacist License in the State of CT or RI.
