Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. Additionally, Pharmacy Technician may be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The Pharmacy Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Position Summary: Northern Light’s mission is to provide high-quality health care to improve the lives of the people in the communities we serve. As a Pharmacy Technician at Northern Light Pharmacy, you are an integral member of the team supporting our mission. Activities may include but are not limited to greeting and assisting patients, checking out customers, insurance billing and processing, preparing prescriptions to be dispensed by the pharmacist, inventory management, completing and filing paperwork, attending trainings and meetings, adhering to all local and federal laws and regulations. NLP is invested in the growth of our team members and offers reimbursement for the successful passage of the CPhT exam, opportunities for additional training and offer a technician pathway for advancement based on performance and years served.
