Curtis Metal Finishing, a growing fastener coating facility in Machesney Park, IL, is searching for a Wastewater Treatment System Technician for our laboratory operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate the water treatment system ensuring compliance to discharge regulations
• Complete periodic sampling in accordance with discharge regulations
• Maintain treatment system operating records and assist with regulatory reporting
• Conduct training for off shift treatment system operators as needed

Position Requirements

• Experience with lime neutralization wastewater treatment system operations for zinc/other metal removal
• High School Diploma, A Class K (Site Specific) License
• Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills
• Read, write and comprehend basic instructions and work procedures
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of co-workers
• Work cooperatively with others or in groups

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, stooping and reaching above and below
• Frequent bending and lifting at the waist
• Twisting frequently at waist and shoulder
• Frequent reaching out in front of body

• You must have prior work in wastewater treatment environment. If you have not worked in wastewater treatment you will not be considered.

• Hourly rate starting at $20 per our depending on experience and qualifications
