Being a Physical Therapy Attendant may be responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment. Prepares and sanitizes treatment rooms for the patients. Additionally, Physical Therapy Attendant helps maintain the treatment records of the patient. May perform various clerical duties such as greeting patients and scheduling appointments. Anthem Physical Therapy (an outpatient physical therapy clinic) is looking for a friendly individual with great interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, follow instructions, commit to scheduled hours, help assure that patients
The ideal candidate will also help with scheduling, basic insurance inquiries, clerical duties, and contacting patients when needed. This position is managed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
This position works with no more than 1-2 patient at a time per hour creating less stressful environment to the provider than other clinics. The Company also offers competitive medical benefits and 401K plan with employer contribution.
Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent customer experience – being welcoming, professional, respectful (regardless of patient attitude), reliable, and organized is a must to adhere to company mission and culture
· Be committed to required part time work schedule and arrive to the clinic on time
· Perform one on one treatments with focus on manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation, and therapeutic exercise
· Must be effective with a variety of manual therapy skills such as soft tissue mobilization, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), joint mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, mobilization with movement – Mulligan, etc
· Help educate patients on their prescribed therapeutic activities / exercises / stretches / balancing activities, the purposes of each activity, and assure they follow their treatment plans
· Thoroughly document each visit, with all documentation completed by the end of the workday including future scheduling if required, and billing
· Follow the billing guidelines of the company and the state of Colorado and Board of Physical Therapists
· Assist with patient scheduling, charts preparation and updates, maintenance of therapy forms, and other clerical duties as assigned
· Responsible for cleaning equipment and treatment rooms after each use and prepare the treatment rooms for the next patient; keep the clinic clean and organized at all times
· Administer cryotherapy / electric stimulation
· Assure that mask wearing protocol is adhered to by both patients and employees
Education:
· Related experience of at least 1 year preferred
· CPR Certification preferred
