The Physician Assistant provides high quality medical care to the patients of St. Joseph Medical Center as a member of the surgical team providing first assistant services to multiple service lines including but not limited to General Surgery, Urology, Breast Surgery, Orthopedics and Spine.

Education

• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master's Degree (Preferred)

Certification / Licensure / Registration

• BLS Certification (Required)
• HCCPA Re-certification exam every six years (Required)
• Physician Assistant (Required)
• Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required)

Experience and Skills

• 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant (Required)
• 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred)

Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
