  • Corewell Health, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is looking to add two more Endocrinologists to our busy and growing practice. 

    The Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology is home to six Endocrinologists and two Diabetologists leading a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacist, Care Managers, multiple RNs including a Population Health Nurse, Diabetes Educators and others providing a full range of services to patients.  With a large Primary Care base of 82 sites of care, our team needs to grow.  The new physician will practice a full range of Endocrinology to include time in both the outpatient clinic and separate days doing inpatient consults.

    Essential Functions

    • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
    • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
    • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
    • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
    • Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
    • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
    • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.
    • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
    • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

    Qualifications

    • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
    • LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
    • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
    • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
