Duties:
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting employee orientations and exit interviews
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigating and resolving employee complaints or conflicts
- Support HR projects, such as implementing new HR policies or programs
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with HR sourcing activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling data entry tasks
- Coordinate employee benefits programs, such as FMLA leave or other medical leave requests
Requirements:
- Expirience with Union Grievances and Governemnt Contracts
- Workers Compensation expirience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Proven experience in a similar role as an HR Specialist or HR Assistant
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with employees at all levels
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
