Physician - Neurology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the nervous system. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Neurology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Neurology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Neurology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. - Malpractice with tail coverage provided; 20 days of vacation time and 8 holidays per year
- Must be board certified or board eligible; H-1B visas are welcome
- Work 40 hours from Monday through Friday; approximate call of 1:8 with no stroke call
- Newly trained and experienced neurologists are welcome to apply
- Open to 30% subspecialization; academic appointment available
- General neurology duties at this not-for-profit health system
- Located just 2 hours from New Orleans, Louisiana
