    Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in an Interventional Pain Management setting. As a Registered Nurse in our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), you will play a crucial role in providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional pain procedures. Your expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and comfort will contribute to the overall success of our practice. No weekends! No Holidays!

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Assessment and Care:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients prior to interventional pain procedures, including reviewing medical histories, current medications, and relevant diagnostic results.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for each patient, ensuring their pain management needs are addressed.
    • Administer and monitor pain medications, sedation, and anesthesia as prescribed, while adhering to practice policies and procedures.
    • Monitor patients during procedures for any adverse reactions or complications, such as changes in vital signs or allergic reactions.
    • Provide post-procedure care and educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medications, and potential side effects.

    Procedure Assistance and Support:

    • Assist the physician during interventional pain procedures, ensuring proper aseptic techniques, patient positioning, and monitoring.
    • Prepare and maintain the procedural environment, including ensuring the availability of necessary equipment, supplies, and medications.
    • Assist in administering conscious sedation when necessary, while closely monitoring patient responses and maintaining their comfort and safety.
    • Document procedures accurately, including medications administered, patient responses, and any adverse events or complications.

    Patient Education and Support:

    • Educate patients about interventional pain management procedures, their benefits, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
    • Provide detailed instructions to patients on pre- and post-procedure care, including wound care, medication management, and activity restrictions.
    • Offer emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance throughout the pain management process.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop educational materials and resources for patients and their families.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Adhere to practice policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in quality assurance activities, including medication management, infection control, and documentation audits.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols for interventional pain procedures.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in interventional pain management techniques and contribute to the professional development of the nursing team.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
    • Prior experience in ambulatory surgery, pain management, interventional procedures, or perioperative nursing is highly desirable.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and patient education.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Attention to detail, with a focus on patient safety and infection control.
