As part of efforts to expand its scholarly and clinical activities, the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Internal Medicine at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama is currently seeking candidates for a faculty position in Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.
Duties include patient care at USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital, the primary referral center for the region, and teaching medical students and residents. Candidates should have completed fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology and a board eligible/board certified Sleep provider. The successful candidate will interact with an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals, dealing with a broad range of pulmonary disease. Responsibilities will include teaching students, house staff and fellows, patient care, performance of pulmonary related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. The chosen Unique opportunities for program development, clinical research and scholarly interactions with other state and local programs are also available.
