With laboratory facilities in Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL, our team of engineers and scientists are developing solutions to industry challenges.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Required: Master’s degree in physics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Required: the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Under senior Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) mentoring, take on the role of RSO
• Track and manage calibration of dosimetry equipment
• Perform dosimetry measurements using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs)
• Perform gamma spectrometry on activation foils for neutron dosimetry
• Operate and manage neutron generators

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Perform radiation transport analysis using MCNP, Geant4, and SRIM/TRIM
• Gamma dosimetry using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs)
• Neutron dosimetry using activation foils and HPGe gamma spectrometer
• Knowledge of radiation mitigation techniques
• Strong understanding of nuclear physics
• A basic understanding of radiation safety and regulations

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO

SALARY RANGE: $125,000-$150,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
