Pipefitter assembles and repairs pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures. Ensures proper placement, alignment, and operation according to blueprints and instructions. Being a Pipefitter requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Pipefitter works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's License
- Prior experience is preferred, but not required - we offer excellent training!
- Knowledge of chilled water, condensing water, and heating water
- Must have proper tools for task, will verify upon employment
- Knowledge of pipe fitting carbon steel, copper, stainless steel
- Knowledge of Welding methods, Braze/Solder, propress and Victaulic
- Knowledge of B31.1 and B31.9
- Knowledge of Pump/Chiller/Boiler/Cooling Tower/WSHP and FCU tie ins
- Able to read and interpret prints, specifications, and submittals
- Must be a good communicator, verbal, written, and planner
- Must be self-motivated and present daily
- Able to work in fast-paced environments and accomplish tasks on time
- Capable of working well with others
