The Safety Manager is responsible for monitoring and assessing working conditions to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees. The Safety Manager will work with the safety department to ensure compliance with CAL OSHA health and safety requirements.
• Strategize and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs• Instruct and lead employees on various safety-related topics• Plan/prepare educational training on safety programs and policies• Review and upkeep of existing IIPP/Sub-programs• Partner with Risk Management/HR on Workers' Compensation injuries and incident reduction• Manage and review current employee safety onboarding process• Implement preventative measures based upon risk assessment findings• Hire, train, develop, reward, and retain high quality Safety staff.• Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions• Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations, create reports accordingly• Create and present reports on accidents, violations, and resolutions to Executive Safety Committe and appropriate parties• Audit construction worksites across California and Las Vegas• Manage environmental programs to ensure compliance• Drive safety initiatives and incentive programs• Assemble and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance• Manage documentation of meeting minutes and reports for Management• Inspect main facilities (Corona, El Cajon, Las Vegas) for safety compliance• Track incident metrics and drive results
• Must ensure adherence to all federal, state laws and local ordinances at all times

• Bi-lingual Spanish required (read and write proficiently) • Must have Field Construction Safety Experience• A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field experience preferred • Certificate in occupational health and safety (Construction and General Industry)• OSHA 10, 30, 500, Certified Safety Manager or Professional a plus• At least three years’ experience as a safety manager or in a similar role• Knowledge of legislation and procedures• At least two years of experience in producing reports• Experience with writing health and safety policies• Proficiency of conducting data analyses and reporting statistics• Proficient in Microsoft Office, emphasis in Excel and Powerpoint

Pay range: $80,000 - $115,000 annually depending on experience
