    PAY RATE: $85,000 per year

    POSITION PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Chief Experience Officer (CXO), the Director of Culture and Equity will be responsible for maintaining and elevating Planned Parenthood’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work, with a strong focus on assessment of PPMI’s broad range of existing DEI initiatives and innovation for future endeavors. This role will guide the organization and leaders in maintaining a healthy workplace culture in which team members understand DEI concepts and are able to incorporate them in nuanced ways into what they do, how they treat each other, and how they engage with and support the communities we serve. The Director of Culture and Equity will work to scale systems and structures that educate and train team members and hold them accountable for that learning and education. This role intentionally builds collaborative partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added service to leaders and team members in a manner that reflects PPMI workplace values and service standards. This staff person will fully embody a commitment to race equity; evidenced in all interactions with PPMI colleagues and external stakeholders.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible leadership in DEI, human resources, health equity or similar field.

    · Substantive experience leading DEI, accessibility, anti-racism, social justice, or related programming, training, or education

    · Advanced knowledge of current theoretical frameworks in DEI, accessibility, anti-racism, and social justice

    · Demonstrated commitment to addressing DEI accessibility, anti-racism, and social justice

    · Demonstrated experience with supporting the LGBTQIA community

    · Experience navigating confidentiality, privacy, and sensitive topics

    · Nonprofit and/or healthcare experience preferred.

    · Possesses strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to track program progress, maintain program records, and generate reports in a dynamic environment.

    · Experience in developing assessment tools for program evaluation, leading research, and creating high level reports/presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

    · Ability to build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders and manage laterally and up to ensure successful outcomes.

    · Proficiency in the Microsoft Office and 365 suite of products.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Establish DEI priorities, including development and implementation aligned with the PPMI mission, vision, and values.

    · Designs and implements affiliate wide, team, and individual DEI initiatives and programming that include cultural awareness, bias assessment, and resources.

    · Maintains current DEI initiatives and programming such as PPMI’s ERGs, org-wide DEI trainings, and Bias Incident Response Team in alignment with PPMI’s overarching strategic plan.

    · Evaluates and uses data sets including our employee engagement survey to identify organizational and/or program needs, new opportunities and establish key metrics to assess, measure and track outcomes of DEI initiatives.

    · Builds strategic frameworks and manages deliverables, timelines, and budgets related to DEI initiatives.

    · Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to evaluate and develop solutions, programs, and policies that meet established goals with an equity lens. Regularly report on DEI metrics.

    · Guides the DEI team and collaborates with the Learning & Development team in the development and delivery of a broad range of training and resource materials from DEI perspective for stakeholders.

    · Acts as a champion for equity and an advocate for the employee experience.

    · Provides coaching in conjunction with the HR team and managers for employee relations issues and DEI related issues that impact work culture and climate.

    · Advises leaders in developing policies and practices that are consistent with the organization’s mission and strategic vision.

    · Translates nuanced DEI-related topics in an easily accessible/approachable way for a range of stakeholders.

    · Partners closely with the Development team to identify and apply for grant opportunities that match PPMI’s goals related to DEI for internal and external stakeholders.

    · Serves as a DEI subject matter expert and skilled facilitator on internal and external best practices and strategies that inform programs and operation.

    · Participates in team, department, and affiliate-wide meetings and activities.

    · Maintains current knowledge of DEI best practices through various channels including association membership, conference, trainings, meeting, etc.

    · Cultivates and maintains partnerships with relevant organizations, thought leaders, partners and vendors.

    · Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
