Planner/Scheduler - Construction jobs in Gaithersburg, MD

Syrus Construction is a mid-sized, full-service construction company in business for more than two decades. We have multiple exciting projects ranging from $1 million to $20 million, including a high-end single family residence of 37,000 square feet in Alexandria, VA to 90,00 square feet mixed-use development project in Annandale, VA.

We are looking for a reliable Construction Foreman to oversee all field operations including supervising and scheduling of sub-contractors, resolving day-to-day issues on the job site and ensuring work is performed in accordance with project plans and specifications and all safety and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Managing day to day construction related activities on job sites
• Supervision of field work force to assure all work is in alignment with project plans and schedule.
• Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with company policy, state and local regulations and safety requirements.
• Controlling field costs and monitoring field productivity
• Knowing scheduled delivery dates for all material and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years field construction management experience
• Demonstrated experience managing labor and holding sub-contractors responsible for their work
• Knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA) etc.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbally and in writing
