Plant Accounting Manager jobs in Columbus, OH
Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Plant Accounting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations while meeting production goals and maintaining quality standards.
**Duties:**
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes
- Manage production schedules and ensure on-time delivery of products
- Oversee supply chain management to maintain inventory levels
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Lead production planning efforts to meet demand forecasts
- Drive process improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards
- Supervise plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline operations
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Strong background in production management and process optimization
- Ability to assemble and fabricate products as needed
- Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
- Proficiency in operations management software and tools
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management, or related field (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
