Plant Controller establishes and maintains the plant's financial principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Oversees the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports. Being a Plant Controller analyzes and interprets cost, budget, policies and profit opportunity trends and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant government and industry legislation and regulations. Controller

The Controller role at Quixote Hospitality will work closely with the CFO and other accounting personnel participating in financial/accounting duties for several companies including restaurants, real estate developments, retailers, pharmacies, golf courses and wildlife preserves.
This position is an onsite role based in Sumter, SC
Salary Range: $70k-$90k DOE

Responsibilities:
· Maintains the general ledger for several entities within company portfolio
· Responsible for overseeing month end close process including reconciliations, billing, AP, AR, inventory, payroll, accruals and timely issuance of financial statements
· Responsible for ensuring monthly sales and use and liquor by the drink tax returns are accurately and timely filed each month
· Participate in weekly payroll processing
· Participate in benefits management coinciding with weekly payroll processing
· Assist with annual budget, forecast, and strategic planning
· Collaboration with leadership team and individual business unit managers on process improvements and change management
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
· 4 years of relevant experience
· Knowledge of US GAAP
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Quickbooks Online
· Experience with a variety of Point of Sale (POS) systems
· Experience with RUN ADP payroll system and/or Quickbooks Online payroll function
· Excellent communication skills
· CPA or CPA track (preferred)
