Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage the budgeting process and provide ongoing budget variance analysis
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely collection of payments and accurate processing of invoices
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and assist with the preparation of audit schedules
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
