Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant General Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant General Manager ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Leads labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Oversees multi-functional plant teams including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, finance or equivalent. Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our growing Danville, Kentucky Plastic Injection molding operation. The facility is a 3 shift - 5 day operation. We are a top 100 Molder in the US. The ideal candidate is a hands on leader with 10 years plant operations experience, strong background in plastic injection molding, tooling background, and documented problem solving skills.
This role is critical in ensuring that our production goals are met efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Duties
· Knowledge of all areas of production to include personnel, shipping, tooling, machines and production presses
· Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
· Knowledge of IATF16949 standards that apply to production, processes and reporting, to include development of and/or the calculation of any application metrics or standards.
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) applications and
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
· Ability to work closely with groups of people, including company employees at all levels, suppliers, competitors, sub-contractors and other outside professionals with whom the company deals with on a regular basis
· Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to operate as a “trusted agent” in which full confidentiality and strict ethical business standards are to be observed
· Ability to prepare plans and reports in a timely manner
· Ability to adhere to Adkev, Inc.’s policies, procedures and instructions
· Maintain good housekeeping policies
· In conjunction with HR, monitor and participate in personnel management programs such as training, development, evaluations, disciplinary management, recommendations for raises or demotions, counseling, hiring and terminations of job levels reporting to the position
· Ability to work extended hours, odd hours, weekends, as required to meet job requirements
· Ability to communicate effectively both informally and formally with all levels of company and outside vendors and customers
· Ability to analyze, develop, present and implement sound production business strategies and practice
