Plant General Manager directs, manages, and optimizes a plant or production facility's overall operations and financial performance (P&L). Sets policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant General Manager systematically collects operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to meet revenue and cost goals. Supports the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant General Manager ensures robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Leads labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. This individual is responsible for building and managing a successful team while meeting the goals for the department. The Plant Manager of Eden Operations must create and implement budgets, policies, and goals in order to ensure the highest productivity in a safe environment. Working Conditions
Work includes equipment operations, some lifting of product or equipment around 125#, office work, extensive walking (throughout plant), and some driving. Work hours vary significantly depending on the season but may run 7 days/week and 24 hours/day during peak operation. May spend approximately 40% of time at a desk and in an office environment, and 60% moving throughout the facility. Work includes being outside in any type of weather and may include circumstances of extreme weather.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel to Standlee offices in Twin Falls and to other Standlee operations facilities (by air) is necessary.
