Plant Maintenance Manager jobs in Rockford, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds in a 24/7 operation.
• Collaborate with plant management and corporate staff to enhance employee safety, production quality, and equipment reliability, utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques.
• Lead the design, specification, and commissioning of capital projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Develop and analyze key maintenance performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and codes related to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards in capital project implementation and daily maintenance.
• Foster knowledge sharing and promote a safe, environmentally sound workplace.
• Manage employees directly or through supervisors, focusing on selection, retention, and performance management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
• 8 years' experience in engineering or maintenance roles within the food manufacturing industry.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and environmental compliance.
• Union (if applicable), Safety, and Workers Compensation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Experience in budget management and capital projects.
• Familiarity with Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
