Plumber inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action using appropriate parts and tools. Being a Plumber complies with all required safety, building code and inspection requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Additionally, Plumber has completed required apprenticeship. Typically requires a high school diploma. Requires Journeyman Plumber status. Requires a State License for plumbing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plumber works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Our plumbers perform plumbing services ranging from simple faucet repairs to water heater installations and plumbing system replacements.  

    Responsibilities

    • Provide solutions to residential and commercial plumbing & drain problems.
    • A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing a cost estimate to close the sale.
    • Make necessary repairs.
    • Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on provided smartphone.
    • Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

    Requirements

    • A valid driver’s license.
    • State plumbing license (preferred).
    • Effective communication and customer service skills.

    Service technicians are paid an hourly rate of $17.00 to $24.00 during training. After training, they are paid an hourly rate at or above the minimum wage for all hours worked. The hourly pay rate may vary, depending on whether the pay is for base pay paid at the employee’s base hourly rate (minimum wage), or administrative pay for administrative hours worked (between minimum wage and $77.92) . Service technicians also have the potential to earn commissions at the rate of 16-22% of revenue depending on the revenue category.  Commissions ranging from $10 to $139 can also be earned for selling products and treatments.
