The Poker Manager responds to questionable activities by employees or customers and takes appropriate action to correct the situation. Manages and directs the card room daily activities. Being a Poker Manager ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Maintains integrity and security of all games, monies, and personnel. In addition, Poker Manager may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Poker Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. PREREQUISITESEducation: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferredExperience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMust be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is essential.Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday.
