Additionally, Policy Change Director typically reports to top management. The Policy Change Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Under the direction of the Vice President of Laboratory Services, responsible for providing executive leadership, contributing to strategic development, and program implementation for Laboratory departments throughout Central Florida Division (CFD) for all accreditation and regulatory components of all laboratories, policy and procedures, quality assurance and billing compliance. Ensures laboratories follows safety and quality assurance procedures, seeing to it that team members are properly trained and always complying with necessary rules and regulations. The Executive Director of Policy and Quality takes a leadership role related to blood and test utilization, outcomes, informatics, quality and safety. This role provides direct leadership, accountability and direction in the translation of business strategies into organizational initiatives, and clinical priorities for the laboratory system support team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
