Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Summary:

    The role of the Director, Market Strategy will be to partner with our SVP, Strategy and Project Development to develop and maintain the company’s project development strategy, assist in managing the pipeline management, and conduct reporting on status to goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner in developing a strategy framework to systematically review major domestic power markets and determine the company’s business pursuits
    • Monitor the performance of the strategy and report to management and prepare materials for reporting to board and investors.
    • Prepare and update the SRDC corporate slides (e.g. markets, strategy, etc.) and other related corporate items
    • Create and maintain reporting database and structure to report monthly on pipeline progress updates
    • Create and maintain database information to inform the strategy
    • Keep abreast of industry and power market trends and changes to inform and revise strategy
    • Prepare or collaborate with trading team on strategy / market sessions of board action memorandums to support the board request
    • Monitor portfolio progress to make recommendations for adjustments as sites and markets develop
    • Assist in representing the firm in trade associations and regulatory policy development
    • Assist in identifying target acquisitions that could meet the strategic objectives
    • Interface with the trading team and understand drivers and foster communications between the team
    • Participate in screening the firm’s project acquisition activities

    Must-Haves:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in law, policy, economics, business administration, engineering, or related fields
    • 5 years of experience in analyzing wholesale electricity markets and creating portfolio strategy plans
    • 2 years of experience in managing project pipeline portfolios
    • Experience in multiple RTO/ISO markets
    • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and respond effectively in a dynamic work environment
    • Strong attention to detail and deadlines
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
    • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Experience creating portfolio strategy plans for battery storage projects
    • 7 years of experience preferred
    • Advanced degree would be nice
    • Have a valid US state issued ID and passport.
