With growth in size and services, Valley Healthcare System provides a range of medical, dental, outreach, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to residents in and around the Chattahoochee Valley region.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Centralized Scheduler at Valley Healthcare System, Inc. located in Columbus, GA. The Appointment Scheduler will be responsible for managing appointments, providing excellent customer service, and communicating professionally with patients and healthcare providers. Perform clerical duties to include typing, maintaining databases, faxing and scanning patient histories, answering phones, and updating patient account information. Most work will be performed on a phone and desktop computer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluation: The evaluation of work performance, including: specific duties, responsibilities, demeanor, and work ethic, will be ongoing and implemented by the Business Manager per center policies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year business office training or equivalent experience preferred. Knowledge of medical / imaging terminology. Telephone experience required. Significant computer experience required Customer Service experience required. Must successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
