Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Rental Manager. As a Rental Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the rental operations of our company as well as heavy equipment ordering and system update functions. This is a key role that requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Negotiate rental agreements with customers, ensuring terms and conditions are met
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Arrange transportation of rented equipment to and from customer job site
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining rental records
- Utilize software programs to create rental contracts and documents
- Perform periodic billing as well as billing for customer damages
- Conduct calls, email, and occasional customer visit activities to promote our rental services and attract new customers
- Meet sales goals by actively seeking opportunities to upsell or cross-sell rental products
- Occasionally attend trade organization or public events to promote our rental services
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure availability of rental equipment and timely delivery to customers
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the heavy equipment rental industry
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other software programs desired
