EvolveMKD- Assistant Account Executive, PR
Overview
EvolveMKD is looking for a dynamic, energetic and proactive Assistant Account Executive to join our traditional public relations team. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with a collaborative team on a wide variety of businesses in the healthcare and skincare categories. This role is open to applicants with a minimum of 1 year of agency PR experience only.
A successful candidate will have strong, intuitive written and verbal communications skills, the ability to multi-task and a sense of curiosity. Healthcare or skincare experience is beneficial. Candidate should be a self-starter and have strong research, project management, account management and organization skills.

EvolveMKD is based in Manhattan and we operate on a hybrid schedule (in-office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Relocation assistance is not provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day account management; responsible for all for daily account management activities such as agendas, recaps, activity reports, media monitoring, coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts, and responding in a timely and professional manner to client requests or needs
- Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their competitive environments through ongoing research and media monitoring
- Work collaboratively with team members to execute successful PR tactics and activations (creative mailers/desksides/etc.)
- Actively participate/contribute to the development of account plans/ideas with guidance from senior leadership
- Develop strong pitch letters, press materials, key messages, and event briefing materials
- Foster media relations, including identifying target media, drafting pitches, fact-checking, editor entertainment and generating consistent results
- Present ideas in a clear, concise and persuasive manner among vendors, peers and clients when appropriate
- Project management including development of timelines, management of project-specific budgets and vendor coordination
- Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring and reporting
- Support team and participate in development and execution of media events, editor desksides, client business planning, new business efforts and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
- Minimum 1 year of public relations experience in an agency setting with a focus on beauty, health and lifestyle brands
- Strong written communications skills as demonstrated through writing samples
- Proven track record of generating results as demonstrated through published media examples
- Hands-on mentality and strong work ethic; ability to thrive and remain highly organized in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and inner drive to improve efficiency and delivery beyond expectations for both the agency and for clients
- Personal time management to balance workload and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as media database and monitoring tools such as Cision
Annual Base Salary Range: $50,000-$56,000 (Compensation and title will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.)
