Position:
As the Database Administrator, you will hold a pivotal role in driving our organization's technological advancement and expansion. Your primary focus will be on spearheading the scaling and growth of our IT Systems infrastructure, ensuring its seamless functionality and security. Your adept leadership and technical acumen will be instrumental in propelling our organization towards strategic success. This individual must have a generalist perspective to Information Technology with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and have a strong troubleshooting background to join our growing organization.
This is a full time position in the IT department with an expectation of growing the department headcount over the course of the next 12-18 months, supporting an expected increase in organizational headcount of 2x-3x in that same period.
Core Responsibilities:
Overview
Team Leadership: Representing the organizations technology suite, it is vital that this role encourages a culture of collaboration between department leads and IT. Collaborate closely with department heads and stakeholders to gain insights into evolving IT needs.
Strategic Planning: Devise and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing and expanding the organization's IT infrastructure to accommodate growth objectives. Align IT strategies closely with overarching business goals, ensuring a symbiotic relationship between technology and organizational expansion.
Network and Systems Management: Performed either by current 3rd party, or as a role assigned to this position- Oversee the administration and upkeep of computer networks, servers, and systems, prioritizing scalability and performance optimization. Ensure that the IT infrastructure remains robust, secure, and capable of accommodating the organization's evolving needs.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Responsible for procurement and setup of IT equipment for new employees, including laptops, phones, and other necessary devices. Provide technical support for new hires during the onboarding process collaborating with management to ensure a seamless integration between IT and the onboarding process.
Project Management: Take charge of managing and coordinating IT projects, from conception to completion, with a keen focus on scalability and timely delivery. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate and launch IT projects.
Security and Compliance: Develop and maintain security measures to safeguard information and data. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Technology Implementation: Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that align with the organization's growth trajectory and scalability objectives. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, assessing their suitability and potential impact on advancing organizational goals.
Vendor Management: Forge strategic partnerships with vendors to procure hardware and software solutions that support the organization's efforts. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure robust and effective solutions are consistently delivered.
Budget Oversight: Exercise oversight of the IT budget, make resource recommendations that support scalable growth initiatives while maintaining cost efficiency.
User Support and Training: Develop and implement robust user support strategies to address end-user needs promptly, fostering seamless scalability and adoption of technology. Coordinate IT training programs to enhance user proficiency and ensure optimal utilization of technological resources.
Documentation and Policies: Maintain documentation of IT processes, configurations, and policies. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support scalable growth.
Other Job Duties: Undertake any additional responsibilities as required or assigned by direct supervisor or upper management.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant discipline or an Associates degree accompanied by relevant
· Past work in HealthCare information systems, specifically Filemaker, is a plus
· Working Knowledge around healthcare billing data preferred
· Demonstrated ability of effective IT management.
· Experience using and supporting Microsoft Windows OS and office suite of products.
· Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and security protocols.
· Exceptional skills in project management, strategic planning, and decision-making.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership qualities.
· Ability to work autonomously while also effectively leading collaborative teams.
