Precision Grinder operates precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Position: Grinder
Wage: $16.80 – 21.57 per hour; based on experience
Shift: 2nd Shift; Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm; overtime as scheduled
Grinder Responsibilities:
• Responsible for loading parts into the machine for grinding
• Perform inspection of parts
• Use of various hand and power tools
Grinder Requirements:
• Physically able to do work requiring frequent standing, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift and carry, push and pull 50 lbs.
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read calipers
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly
