Precision Grinder operates precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments and grinding machines for grinding angles, contours, lines, and spheres on to surfaces. Being a Precision Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Precision Grinder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Responsibilities :
Must be able to read, review, understand, and interpret blueprint specifications for machined and / or fabricated parts with a special focus on stamping die components.
Competent in the use of inspection tools.
- Operates surface grinders, tool room lathe, turning, and mill.
- Performs precise grinding of tooling and uses various gages and micrometers as required
- Troubleshoots and follows through with solutions to problems.
Qualifications :
- Min 5 Years’Manual and CNC Grinding Experience
- Experience with closely related seal products a plus.
Schedule : Mon - Fri
Mon - Fri
7a - 3pm, with OT available
