Job Summary

The Assistant Press Operator will assist the Press Operator in the scheduling, running, and maintenance of the press. They will assist in the make-ready of the press forms to ensure the quality of the finished product. Additionally, they must be able to load ink, assist in blanket changing, and changing plates. Adjusting, assessing, and maintaining machinery is also a primary function of this position. Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Previous press or bindery experience and experience with print layouts is required.
• The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Ability to understand and apply complex mathematics and measurements.
• Additional duties/cross training assigned as needed.

Experience:

• Previous printing and press work experience AND
• High level of mechanical understanding

Work Status:

Full Time 3rd Shift
Overtime Required

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
