Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator Assistant - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator Assistant - All Widths works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Summary
The Flexo Printing Press Operator role requires a skilled individual with a strong background in manufacturing and operating flexo presses. Requires knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, material, equipment and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments. Must be able to make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Some additional tasks are set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multi-color flexographic press.
Premium Required skills: one to five years of related experience required, ability to lift 40lbs. frequently, visual color differentiation required, ability to read, understand and carry out written instructions, ability to understand and carry out verbal instruction and basic math and ruler skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
