Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Reviews job specifications and complete setup tasks, including filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Being a Press Operator Assistant - All Widths conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. Performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Additionally, Press Operator Assistant - All Widths completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Press Operator Assistant - All Widths works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Colorprint is seeking a part time Press Operator for our printing facility in Burlingame, CA. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing machines and troubleshooting printing and quality issues.
Compensation:$30 per hour DOE
Responsibilities:- Experience in offset press operation
- Strong understanding of quality control processes
- Proven ability to operate and maintain printing presses
- Experience troubleshooting common printing and quality issues
- Knowledge of pre-press processes, including imposition
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience working in a printing facility
- Knowledge of printing software and equipment is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in running sheetfed offset equipment. Itek/ABdick
- Must be Reliable
- Experience troubleshooting common printing and quality issues
- MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE A 2-COLOR PRESS
